UnEthical by Joe Gaskill
directed by Christian Plonka
UnEthical is a dramatilurgical dive into the mind of Carney Landis written by the incomparable Joe Gaskill. His work sends his heart to the victims of Landis' work depicting the complete vile practice that happened. This show leads the night off as an introduction to the absurd nature of the evening. This will be quickly expanding as Landis shows the audience what theater can do when the characters have been expecting you.
Mother's Day by Christian Plonka
directed by Callison Coburn
Mother's Day is the work of 7 years based off a small premise, if a child woke up one morning and found they were kidnapped. Mother's Day is a close reflection on the boundaries of the Father//Daughter relationship. After years of a healthy relationship with her dad, the daughter begins probing the father for information on her mother, in the end finding out the tragic truth about how she came to be where she is.
ATTNENTION! Both shows have adult content. Violence, little to no language.
The evening is for the anyone looking for a psychological deep-dive into what humanity can do. This show depicts the extremes of fatherhood, sobriety, and family.
Mother's Day is of a new family of plays that follows a kind of character the audience may not expect. Who they bond to is up to them? I love that by the end of the play they may regret their choice.
UnEthical is the beautiful and logical depiction of sociopathy. The artifice that Gaskill puts to life is one of grace and one of serenity.
