Submitting Scripts for Main Stage and Studio Series

Barefoot Productions is always looking for scripts, including original scripts, for its main
stage and studio series.

Main stage productions are presented 3-4 times per year.

Studio productions will be presented between main stage productions as available.

Scripts must be submitted to the artistic director for consideration. They must be
submitted by Oct. 1 to be considered for the following season.

Studio show scripts can be previously produced or original. They must be no more than
1 hour and 15 minutes in length. The show will be presented during one weekend for 3-4
performances. The budget for a studio show will be $1000. Barefoot will pay royalties
for copyrighted scripts. Scripts and treatments must be submitted by Oct. 1 for
consideration for the following season. Scripts will be chosen based on how they match
the main stage productions so sets can be shared.

Directors for studio shows must be previous directors and submit a resume or must have
assistant directed one of Barefoot’s main stage productions.
