Kirk Haas, Director performed his first stage role in the fifth grade as the ‘Follower’ (murderer) that killed Banquo, in his elementary school production of Macbeth. He now returns to adapt and direct it fifty years later. Kirk’s adaptation of R&J, Of Juliet & Her Romeo was an artistic success, produced by Barefoot Productions Theatre a few years back. His Shakespeare acting stage work includes, Much Ado About Nothing, Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet, As You Like it, The Tempest, Henry V, All’s Well that Ends Well and Hamlet. Kirk directed Barefoot’s production of Moliere’s The Misanthrope last season and has been doing theatre since his days at The University of Michigan in the late 1970’s. He lives with his beautiful, talented wife, writer, director, actress and current Artistic Director for Barefoot, Valerie Haas and their two talented actor sons Ian and Cole, in Inkster, MI.

Russ Schwartz
as Macbeth
of Ann Arbor is thrilled to make his debut at Barefoot, following a year working with the Brass Tacks Ensemble as a member of its 2017 Shakespeare Season troupe. Russ studied theatre at Hampshire College, and has worked with several companies in Southeast Michigan; his favorite past shows include Measure for Measure (Brass Tacks), Othello (Ann Arbor Civic Theatre), Sonia Flew (Performance Network Theatre/Jewish Ensemble Theatre), and Sophocles' Elektra (Penny Seats Theatre Company). Russ wishes to thank Kirk and the whole Barefoot team for this opportunity, his splendid castmates, and his fantastic wife Dawn.

Sidney Bowerman 
as Witch #1
 is from Plymouth and has been on the community theatre scene for about 14 years.  This is Sidney’s third show with Barefoot Productions: twice on stage and once as part of the crew. Her all-time favorite role was in a 2008 production of Le Miserables. This is Sydney’s second production of Macbeth, the first a full production in 2011 in which she played the Porter.

Dalibor Atanaskoski
​as Banquo

has been in Rehearsal for Murder (Lloyd Andrews) at Barefoot, King Lear (Earl of Kent), Dracula (Van Helsing), Romeo & Juliet (Prince of Verona), Hamlet (Priest/Player King), and Nightwatch (John Wheeler) at Schoolcraft College, as a supernumerary in Tosca and Aida at the Michigan Opera House, in Macbeth (Siward/Murder) at Oakland Community College, in Much Ado About Nothing (Don John) and Palmer Park (Sol Rifkin) at Park Players, in the House of Yes (Marty Pascal), The Importance of Being Earnest (John Worthing), and The County Wife (Frank Harcourt) at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. Dalibor calls Dearborn Heights home. He has a graduate degree from the University of Michigan, works for the government as a child welfare data analyst, and enjoys traveling. He will be vacationing in Iceland and Israel this year. “To Vivienne, I am forever thankful for saving me. "I was made for another planet altogether. I mistook the way" -Simone de Beauvoir”.

Sean Thomas
as Ross
comes from Northville to join Barefoot for his first time. He is a graduate of U of M-Dearborn with a bachelors in Communication. Sean also attended Schoolcraft College appearing in several productions there: Come Back Little Sheba (Postman), A View From The Bridge (Tony/Immigration Officer 2), Blithe Spirit (Edward), All My Sons (Frank Lubey). Favorites are Our Town (Mr Webb) and Hamlet (Laertes & Guildenstern). When he’s not working his hobbies include working out, hanging with friends and family, looking at memes, playing video games, doing impressions, Netflix and chill. “Thanks to my family, friends, Harambe, my dog Logan, The Rains Down in Africa, my Schoolcraft Theatre family, and a special thanks to my late Professor, Prof. James Hartman, for getting me involved in Theatre.”

Linda Hagopian
as Gentlewoman
calls Livonia home.  A retired educator, Linda enjoys performing throughout the tri-county area. Favorite roles have been Guys and Dolls (General Cartwright), Gianni Schicchi (Zita), A Christmas Carol (Begger Woman/Ghost of Future), The Secret Garden (Mrs. Medlock) and Sister Act (Nun Ensemble). Vocally, Linda is involved with Michigan Opera and the acclaimed Rackham Choir, and, in 2013, traveled with the Detroit Symphony to perform at Carnegie Hall. Linda dedicates all of her performances to her mother, Gertrude Hagopian.

Dannielle Peck     
as Lady Mac
 
hails from Clawson. She has recently performed with Little Door Theatre, Water Works, and Stagecrafters.  Some of her favorite credits include Agnes in She Kills Monsters, Gwendolen in Earnest, and Regan in  King Lear (Little Door).  Danielle also acted as a Teaching Shakespeare Through Performance Fellow at London’s Globe Theatre in 2015.  When she is not on stage, she enjoys working with students as an English teacher at Grosse Pointe South High School.​

Tommy Patrick Ryan
as Macduff
 lives in Ann Arbor, MI, where he graduated college a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.  This will be his first project with Barefoot Productions. Tommy did a lot of theatre in high school and college, before letting life get in the way for a little over a decade. He came back to the stage with three productions at Schoolcraft College starting in 2013. Tommy can also be seen performing at the Ypsilanti Farmer's market during the warmer months. When not performing, he engages in triathlons, editing books, novels and short stories, creating tabletop games through his company "Slightly Twisted Games" that he started with friends, Cosplaying Jedi and Super-heroes, officiating weddings, and being involved in American Mensa as 2016's "Mr. Mensa" as well as being the current national communications officer. He'd like to thank his mother, Jerry Hennessy, and James Hartman for their guidance in the theatre.

of Livonia returns to the Barefoot stage for his second production. He has been dreaming of acting ever since a teacher recommended he go into theater after being in a class play. Joining the drama club in High School for four years, Jared went on to play the lead in Professor James Hartman's adaptation of Romeo & Juliet to favorable reviews. After receiving his first starring role in the feature film Courageous Love, Jared went on to play a lead role in The Taker’s Crown and has been featured in several short films, a web series, and other independent features. Both aforementioned films are now available on Amazon Prime! It is Jared’s wish to be a part of film projects that are relevant and leave a positive impact on the viewer. Inspire. Encourage. Edify."​

of Plymouth is hoping his English teachers will accept this a penance for all the Shakespeare he didn’t read in high school.  Steve appeared as Richard Hannay in The 39 Steps and as Richard Feynman in Q.E.D, both at Barefoot. “Thanks to Betsy and The Boys for all their love and support!”

from Inkster marks his debut with Barefoot Productions, following his mother, an actor and our Artistic Director; his father, our Tech Director, and director of three shows so far with us, including Macbeth; and his brother, Cole, who has appeared in two productions with us.  Despite dragging his thespian feet around here, Ian has managed to appear in eight shows with the Guildlings at the Players Guild of Dearborn, including, Seussical, the Musical Jr., Schoolhouse Rock, Jr., Free to Be…You and Me, Willy Wonka, Jr. (PAGE Award for Outstanding Youth in Theatre), Born in a Trunk, Into the Woods, Jr., The Addams Family, and Footloose.  Ian attended LHWL for three years, where he appeared in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Arsenic and Old Lace, Taming of the Shrew, Up the Down Staircase, and The Music Man. He is now a senior at John Glenn High School, and looking forward to graduating so he can attend college and study filmmaking.
