Fundraisers

COMING October 8, 2009 - We're pleased to announce that Barefoot Productions will
showcase Neil Simon's The Good Doctor, replacing Mister Roberts as our fall show.  The
Good Doctor is a delightful series of nine comedic vignettes with clever twists of irony,
heart and romance, including such stories as a "The Sneeze," depicting what happens
when a lowly employee sneezes on his much-revered boss at a social event; a
manipulative head mistress and her easily duped nanny in "The Governess" and "The
Defenseless Creature," about a harangued man plagued by a nagging female and a
terrible case of gout.  All short stories originally written by Russian author Chekhov, Neil
Simon does what only he can do -- fashion them into wonderfully entertaining plays with
colorful characters.

We kickoff this show with a very special preview performance on October 8 to benefit our
local VFW at 8 p.m.  Tickets for the preview show are $20, with a portion of the proceeds
supporting our local VFW chapter.

Additional performance dates are:  October 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24 at 8 p.m. and October
18 and 25 at 2 p.m.  Tickets are $12 for general admission; $10 for students and
seniors.  Group rates and season tickets are also available.

Please visit call Barefoot Productions at 734/582-9688 for more information or to reserve
tickets.  Ticket purchasing will soon be available online at our website, www.
justgobarefoot.com and via our telephone box office at 734/560-1493.  Please watch for
more updates!

On a side note, we are in need of volunteers to help us in the following capacities,
including our first-ever Barefoot fundraiser garage sale on September 25 and 26 from 9
a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Walker-Buzenberg Building.  If you have any items (large or small;
one or more items) in which you'd be interested in donating to Barefoot for our garage
sale, please contact Scott (president@justgobarefoot.com) or Kristin
(marketing@justgobarefoot.com) and we'll be happy to arrange a drop-off or pick-up time
that is convenient for your schedule.  We'll also be able to provide you with a donation
receipt for your records.

If you have the time and desire to assist in any of our volunteer opportunities or know of
someone who might be interested in lending their talents and/or their garage sale items,
please let us know. Furthermore, assistance needed for the following:

-- Garage sale items needed no later than Wednesday, September 23, 2009
-- Newsletter editor (quarterly; some graphics or publishing experience preferred)
