Barefoot Productions Youth Theatre Workshops
Welcome to our theatre workshops!
Barefoot Productions, established in 2006 in Plymouth, MI, has moved to Livonia, MI, and is expanding to include theatre for young people.
Classes are taught by Valerie Haas, Cynthia Frabutt, Colleen Meyer, and Samantha Marzec, with guest instructors for some workshop sessions. Valerie holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in theatre, and has been involved in area youth theatres for 20 years. Cynthia has a B.A. in Communications and is the founder of the Young Actors Performance Project and has over 20 years experience working with youth in theatre. Colleen has a B.A. in Theatre and is the theatre director for Livonia Franklin High School, and ran the City of Wayne Theatre Program for 10 years. Samantha holds an MFA in acting, and has directed and choreographed area youth theatre for 10 years. Each of our instructors is also a talented performer in her own right, as evidenced by decades of onstage and off-stage work on a variety of stages. Our exciting and supportive theatre workshops are geared especially for young actors (ages 8 to 18) and are designed to foster imagination and creativity. Classes run 1 or two weeks with a showcase performance at the end each workshop.
